3) Known Issue: Similar or duplicated items existed in Library

Known Issue: Similar or Duplicated Items in Library

Description:

The system database currently contains items that are either duplicates of each other or have a high degree of similarity. This can lead to issues such as:

  • Data redundancy: Unnecessary storage of the same information, consuming extra storage space.
  • Inconsistencies: Potential for conflicting or outdated information if duplicates are not updated consistently.
  • Search and retrieval challenges: Difficulty in identifying the most relevant or accurate item when multiple similar versions exist.

Status:

  • Acknowledged: The issue has been identified and documented.
  • Not yet prioritized: Data deduplication and cleanup efforts are planned for a later stage, as the system database is still in the setup phase.

Workarounds:

  • Manual verification: When retrieving or using data, exercise caution and double-check for potential duplicates or inconsistencies.

Updates:

This issue will be tracked and updated as progress is made on data deduplication and cleanup efforts.

4) Known Issue: No Sign Up Function

Known Issue: Sign Up Functionality Currently Unavailable

We are aware that the GRC Library currently does not offer a sign-up function for creating user accounts. We understand that this may be inconvenient for some users, and we apologize for any frustration this may cause.

Currently, access to the library's full functionalities and resources is available through two options:

  • Guest Access: You can explore the vast majority of the library's content and features as a guest user. This includes searching for resources, viewing documents, and utilizing many of the analytical tools.
  • Contacting the Site Administrator: If you require account-specific features or access to restricted content, you can reach out to the site administrator through the Contact Us function. They will be happy to assist you with setting up a login account based on your individual needs.

Please note: Due to security considerations, direct email communication with the site administrator is not possible. The Contact Us form ensures a secure and efficient method for requesting account creation.

We are actively working on implementing a user sign-up feature in the future. We will keep you updated on our progress and notify you when this functionality becomes available.

In the meantime, we encourage you to take advantage of the library's extensive resources and contact the site administrator if you require account-specific access.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Updates: "Sign In by using LinkedIn" included Sign Up function. User can use this approach to sign up to GRC Library.
